Naomi House is situated near Winchester and is the only children's hospice providing respite and palliative care to families from across central southern England who have a child with a life threatening illness. As a children’s charity, it makes no charge to its families, yet receives no form of government funding. The running costs of over £1.5 million per year have to be raised entirely from voluntary basis.

The Rowans Hospice also makes no charge to it’s patients and The Rowans' inter-professional team provides specialist palliative care within the hospice for people who live in Portsmouth and surrounding areas. Palliative care is delivered to patients with varying illnesses which no longer respond to curative treatment.

Havant Rotary President Bryan Bouch said "These are very important and worthwhile causes that support patients and families at a very difficult time."
