Havant Rotary completed a month long fund raising programme over the Christmas period that raised over £8,500 to support the club's programmes.

The club managed the Father Christmas Grotto at the Wyevale Garden Centre each weekend in December and assisted Father Christmas with his work. This included the grotto itself together with the arrangement of Father Christmas breakfasts and Teas. A collection was also held at the entrance to the Grotto.

The Club's Christmas float toured the area and brought Father Christmas to many families front door. The float was welcomed by families in Leigh Park, Emsworth, Bedhampton and Hayling Island. Many people remarked that they had been waiting for the Christmas float to come round and that they looked forward to it coming round each year.

We also raised money with collections in Havant Town Centre and at the entrance to Tescos in Havant during Christmas week.

Whilst the Christmas fund raising programme obviously aims to raise money, however it also gives a lot of pleasure to families and children of all ages.
